Success & Stories

Did my 2 days of effort work? It seems to have made a difference. I had my first photo shoot today for an upcoming project involving lots of gym shots. I feel pretty good about the rough, unedited shots shown here. What do you think?

Which lat pulldown shot do you like better?

Each picture needs a discerning eye... or 8.

Loving these cute Puma trainers!

Thank you for all of your encouragement and inspiring stories! I love hearing what makes you stay focused and motivated.

Better yet, check out what inspires these amazing Clean Eaters:
Sean Rodman, Nicole Padilla, & Courtney Matthews

Our latest Eat-Clean Diet success stories have lost a combined total of 240 pounds, 1/2 of that weight was lost by the incredible, Nicole Padilla.

You have all inspired me to keep spreading the word of eating clean.

Who else inspires me? How about Olympic swimmer, Dara Torres!

I am looking forward to seeing Dara Torres in action tomorrow at her Oxygen magazine shoot. She definitely represents the Your Best Body Now attitude at 42!

So who inspires you?

Oxygen's Cover Girl

So excited to be on the cover of Oxygen Magazine for November.

This is quite the honor! I'm so happy about that cover mostly because of my age (ripe 51) and that the shoot took place one day after my first triathlon so I was feeling good about my fitness level at that point. There are many ways to be fit and my adventures into triathlons and half marathons show just a few options. What do you do to stay fit?

02 Photoshoot & Radio Links

Yesterday I had an excellent photo shoot for Oxygen Magazine with Paul Buceta and co.

We had an great time listening to a playlist created by my daughter, Kelsey-Lynn... lots of Beatles! Things got a little crazy & me and Oxygen editor-in-chief, Stacey Kennedy, went for a spin around the dance floor.

We did lots of casual shots, workout shots, cover tries, lifestyle & author photos and attempted the hardest thing ever... photographing the stages of a 1-armed push up.

We noshed on Swiss Chalet for lunch (1/4 chicken with rice and veggies) and downed lots of coffee to keep our energy up!

I love my tousled look care of Val. This is a favorite and I want to learn how to do it on my own.

Check out the pics below.

While your at it listen to this interview from Beyond the Diet and this one from Fit Talk with Shari Fitness... Enjoy!

Keeping things interesting. Insiders Tip: wearing heels during shots makes your legs look more defined.

My daughters, Kelsey-Lynn & Chelsea, who helped out at the shoot yesterday.

When you love what you do you you never work a day in your life! Thanks for making it such a fun day everyone!

More Sightings... Thanks!!

Busy day today! I'm heading into the office today for a little bit to meet with my team. Then I will be visiting my friend, Franca, who is helping me get prepped for Friday's photoshoot. I'll be shooting lifestyle and training shots for Oxygen. This also means my training is intense this week and my meals are tighter.... lower carbs, etc. Basically, Cooler 1!

In the meantime, special thanks to Kathy and Angela who sent me pics of The Eat-Clean Diet books in stores near them!!

Hi Tosca,
This is at the King Sooper's Grocery store in Broomfield, CO. Love ya, Kathy:)!

Hi Tosca, I was turned on to your diet by my trainer. I just bought your book today. I took a picture of it at Target and am including it. Thanks!! Angela aka Fattie Fatterton

Any international sightings out there?? I'd love to see it.

If you see the book somewhere cool and want to share email me at tosca@eatcleandiet.com.

Have a great day everyone!

Here's to keeping it tight and reaching for our goals!!

Pre-Arnold Challenge

Happy Wednesday Bloggers,

We are about 2 weeks out from the Arnold and I am fully in prep mode. Even though I am not competing, I still have to be looking and feeling my best as I represent Oxygen, Clean Eating and The Eat-Clean Diet on the booth.

I am basically following Cooler 1 plan.

Anyone want to do it with me?

I'm issuing an Pre-Arnold Challenge. For the next 2 weeks we'll do Cooler 1. Join me if you're interested even if you're not going to the Arnold.

What will the next few weeks include:
Tightening up the diet (see Cooler 1 Plan in The Eat-Clean Diet for more details)
Feeling a little hungry... this part is no fun
No fruit
Lots of wheat grass, salmon, and spinach
Not skipping any workouts!!!!
Adding a ½ hour of morning cardio
Training heavy with weights in the evenings

It's been hard to get into prep mode because there has been a lot going on at home. I’ve been driving back and forth to Belleville about 3 times in the last week! I had to help my daughter with a driving ticket, I had to return my other daughter and her friend to university after spring break, and yesterday I had to take care of both a sick daughter and a sick mom. But no more excuses.... time to get down to business!

By the way, I think it's time for February to end. We need some sunshine and warmth!

For a little time out this afternoon I will be doing an ionic cleanse at the Hockley Valley Tea Company. You sit and soak your feet and all the "yucky" (for lack of a better word) comes out. At least that will warm me from the inside out, even if the weather can't.

Why don't you do something nice for yourself, too. Remember, taking care of you and loving you means you can take care of and love someone else that much more!

Hugs,
Tosca

p.s. I'll be answering questions soon!!

Shooting Green Screen

Shooting green screen for The W Network show was a pretty cool experience on Monday.

I thought I'd share some photo ops with you...

It looks like I'm standing around doing nothing because these photos were taken during filming breaks, but I was actually doing pretty intense workout-related stuff for 2 hours or so.

For those of you who don't know what a green screne is.... basically you film on this blank canvas and a background can be put in place behind you. For Oxygen shoots we do something similar. We photograph on a white background so our bodies can be "cut and pasted" on different backgrounds.

As you can see from the pic on the top left, I have a little work to do on my midsection to get tighter for the Arnold. I will be stepping up my eating to pre contest now where I will be cutting portions and leaving out fruit and bread. I will eat more greens and a variety of proteins including vegetarian sources.

Thanks to everyone who commented on yesterday's post. I appreciate everyone's support, and love the birthday ideas! I can always count on you.

Stay tuned.
