REVIEWS!! REVIEWS!!!

What did you think of the debut episode of Tosca: Flexing at 49??

It was surprisingly emotional for me... but overall a lot of fun.

I want to hear from you!

I missed the first episode. Any chance of it being re-aired?

I loved it!
One problem, it was too short. I wanted to see more!! About 2 hours...
Great job! and you look great as always!
I really like the part when you try the suits for the competition, you're so funny!! (your great personality comes through).
I can't wait until next week,
Laura

I thought it was great. I agree with Laura, I wished it would have been longer. You are a true inspiration to all us 40 something that we do not have to "just roll over and accept being plump" as you say. I am dedicated to look better and healthier at fifty then I was in my 20's, 30's and first part of my 40's. Keep it up as you are a wonderful role model.

I agree as well....too short! But I loved it. I'm looking forward to next week. Great job Tosca!

I agree, too short, should do a mini series all in one shot about 2hours or so! PS. We finally find out 'who' challaged you to do the first competition!

Loved it! So wonderful to have you in my living room with me :-) My eight year old has obviously been paying attention to my reading material lately because he walked into the room during the show and said "Hey Mom, isn't that the Eat-Clean lady?", lol!! Can't wait until the next episode.

I thought it was great!

I can't believe that man drinks one case of pop a day. Yikes!

I loved the show. My son said I had a pretty disappointed look on my face when it ended after only 30 minutes. Really, Tosca, as if you hadn't done enough great things - the books, the columns, the life coaching - now you have this. Congratulations on a successful show. I look forward to seeing every episode.

p.s. for the person who wanted to know how to see it in Calgary - it's on VIVA, channel 159.

It was awesome! Wished the episodes were longer! I enjoyed the realness of it. I didn't think it would be that honest. Sorry your daughter has a tough time with the competition process. A couple of my family members had a tough time supporting me as well. I hope to see that she comes around in future episodes. Going through all the tough training and diet prep is so much easier when you have 100% support from everyone around you.

Loved the show....my youngest daughter and I watched it together. When it finished we both said at the same time..."well that was too short". I am lucky to have DVR so I have already set up the recordings for the next episodes. You have a beautiful family and home. I got a kick out of the girls remember who you used to wear the "mom jeans"!! Tosca you look like you just turned 30 and not 50. Can't wait for next Saturday.

Hi Tosca - I really enjoyed the 1st episode - I agree, though, too short! I think there were too many repetitions of what happened before the commercials. Looking forward to the rest!

I, too, really enjoyed the show. I love your exercise workout area. I almost cried when you grabbed your cheeks and carried on about how flabby they were. I will be working out here in B.C. to just get what you already have "behind" you. You MUST have this show increased to 1 or 2 hours. Who can we talk to or email to get more of you on Canadian TV? Looking forward to next week. By the way, Happy 50th belated birthday for the 22nd of May. I actually turned 55 on June 6th, your debut show day so what a way to bring in my 55th year.

Since you asked.....
It was not pretty. There were moments when I teared up and really felt like I could relate to you. That would be when you talked about your first marriage and getting out of it. But then it went downhill. Especially when you put that costume on and jiggled your buttocks, unnecessary. I agree with your daughter, Kirsten. I will be reviewing your show on my blog shortly, so you can visit me for more.

It was awesome! My friends and I were all very excited to watch it together. We all love Oxygen and your column. I agree with many of the above comments...I wish it was longer! Looking forward to next week's episode, and congratulations :)

Disappointed not to get it on Cogeco considering I'm just 'down the road' from you in Georgetown!

I thought it was great! I can't wait to see more.
To the person that said they couldn't see it in Calgary; it was on channel 159 (Viva) on Saturday at 5:30 and Sunday morning too.

I just left a comment for you on Facebook, but I'll repeat it here:
I loved it! I found it to be so inspiring, but I do agree with others that the 30 minutes went by way too fast! An hour show would be great! Thanks for working so hard to inspire us all!

Hi Tosca

Your 1st episode was awesome. I watched it with my girls, we all said it was way too short.

You were so honest and had me tearing up when you showed your old video footage.

I cant wait till next weeks episode, I have it set on my PVR so I do not miss it.

To the girl with Shaw in Calgary, I also have shaw and its on Channel 159 VIVA.

I LOVED the show. LOVED it!

Having met you recently (Nella Cucina night) made it all even more real and special. I loved the honesty (Kiersten giving you hard time for competing), the rawness (you grabbing her bare butt, hilarious), and the insight to your daily life.

Keep up the great work, and can't wait for next week!

ditto to the others, 30 mins wasn't long enough, especially since they re-cap what happens after the commercial break.
Bob's photos from his competition days - wowser!
your bathing suit shoot - OMG I was in awe of your beauty (at any age that is incredible!)
Kirsten's comments over dinner were fair, I agree with the confusing messages it can be perceived, especially with all the messed up body images and negative food associations, she has a good point and I liked how she feels comfortable saying that to you and to you in front of a camera.
I almost cried during the video footage of when you were saying 'happy anniversary' and looked like you were anything but happy.
enjoyed the candid and real aspect to your show and can't wait to see more!
not that it matters much - I didn't like the theme song, found it to be too cheesy (for lack of a better word!)
AND your house looks amazing! love all the wood and windows!
Keep up the fabulous work Tosca!
Jen

So frustrated at not being able to see it in the U.S.! I keep checking YouTube to see if anyone's posted the episodes. Will the series eventually make it to DVD?
