A True Inspiration: Jack LaLanne 1914 - 2011

It is with great sadness that I learned of Jack LaLanne's passing last night.
Jack inspired three generations of men and women to better their health and fitness. He laid the foundation for the modern fitness movement, taught us to stay away from sugar and processed food and encouraged millions of women to start lifting weights!
I had the pleasure of working with Jack and his wife Elaine over the last few years and enjoyed his fierce zest for living life to the maximum. I will take his lessons with me forever. And if I ever have a day when I feel too tired or too lackluster to work out I remember Jack towing 70 boats with 70 people for one-and-a-half miles through the strong currents of Long Beach, while handcuffed, on his 70th birthday!
I send my deepest and heartfelt condolences out to Elaine and their family.

I remember watching him on TV with my Mom. Very inspirational man. RIP.
He was such an incredible role model and inspiration for all!
What an icon and legend. He truly was the father of fitness and I miss him greatly. I'll have to juice something special tonight in my Jack Lalane juicer.
RIP Jack. Saw it on the news while at the gym and pushed out a couple more presses in his honor. Got home to find my husband with a tear in his eye. He inspired him and then me to be the best we can.
I had the pleasure of meeting Jack LaLanne at the Arnold Classic two years ago. He gave a seminar during the "healthy aging" expo and he was incredible! At 94, if you closed your eyes and just listened you would have thought he was 40! That big booming voice, so full of life. I feel privileged to have met him and had a photo taken with him. RIP, Jack.

At age 59, every time I start thinking that maybe this fitness thing is for the 20 somethings, I think of Jack. He will continue to inspire me for another 50 years!

Old is gold. They have always substantial for us to preserve and follow their foot prints. I really inspired by these great personalities. We are living in the age of processed and packaged junk food. They bear a hope for us.
There are a acute dearth of such personalities in the society. It is their simple and natural lifestyle which inspires millions who are concerned about their health.
I am glad to learn about this charismatic personality who could inspire the generation even after his death. thank.
His contributions towards the habit of healthy living and eating clean would certainly be remembered with much love and affection. His is a very inspiring personality.
