13K On A Gorgeous Sunday

This past Sunday I ran 13km with my friend Giselle through the Rattlesnake Point conservation area. There was lots of terrain, beautiful scenery & lots of heat. We hydrated as much as possible before, after & during. I am really getting excited about this new regime of long-distance training I am taking on in order to get prepared for the 1/2 marathon in October. Here are a few snaps from Sunday's adventures!

13k so early in training for a half is too much! That's what you'd be doing if you were training for a full marathon! Don't go too hard too soon...

Good day!! Congratulations on your run.....I know the training is a such a great feeling of accomplishment! Keep it up! I must mention that 13km is not too long at this time.....I have ran several marathons, 1/2 marathons, 10 mile road races and 10kms & 5 kms. Just continue with whatever training schedule you have. Training is the journey....the celebration is the race!! I am still contemplating the race you're running.....me and my friends might just be there.

Tosca! Your are TOTALLY AMAZING! I was there running with you, I witness you leaping over tree roots, logs and crushing the hills! You totally have the conditioning! I did a half marathon this past spring and all I have to say is you made me work harder and run faster. Thank you! You Rock!
