I am taking a break from packing for Atlanta. It was time to Eat Clean - kefir with flax seed and blueberries - and get caught up on stuff. Always more stuff! Planning out training and eating while I am gone is tough. I have to add extra time to my prep to sort this out. For example I am getting up super early tomorrow morning to do my run. If I don't I will never get to it as the rest of the day will be spent en route to Atlanta and settling in to the hotel once there. Bob will be with me and so will Stacy K. our fearless Oxygen editor and Michael DeMedeiros from MaxFit.
All of Saturday will be devoted to Kendall Wood's Smart Moves Fit Science contest where I will be hosting a special breakfast, judging and doing a seminar. If you are in the Atlanta are please come and say hello. We are at the Gwinnet Center.
What am I packing to eat while in transit? I have measured out several little baggies each containing about 1/3 cup dry oats, 2 tbsp ground flax seed, dried cherries and a scoop of protein powder. I can reconstitute these at any time with hot water. I also carry green and Tulsi tea bags again so I can have these at any time. I plan to hit a grocery store when we arrive in Atlanta so I can pack a cooler bag for Saturday. If I don't do it I will be miserable. I am a lot like a pet - I need to be fed, watered and exercised regularly. You don't want to see me cranky!!
